Brewer's notes: What we will and will not let you do with our supplies, the Site, and the recipe library.
1. Age
You confirm you are at least 21 years old and of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction. We apply the strictest legal drinking age globally because brewing is preparation for consumption.
2. Private brewing only
Our supplies are sold for private, personal brewing in volumes legal in your jurisdiction. The UK allows unlimited private brewing for personal consumption (HMRC Excise Notice 226). Other jurisdictions vary — you are responsible for confirming local law.
You will not on-sell brews produced using our supplies, including informally or at markets, without obtaining the appropriate excise, food-business and food-safety registrations.
3. No vulnerable users
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, in recovery from alcohol use disorder, currently medicated against alcohol consumption, or otherwise advised against alcohol by a medical professional, do not brew or consume fermented product. Our Field Guides are not medical advice.
4. No trademarked imitations
You will not use our recipes or supplies to commercially imitate trademarked beer brands (e.g. Guinness, Heineken, Stella, BrewDog). Private replication for personal consumption is not policed by us, but is at your own risk.
5. No glorification of misuse
You will not submit content to our Site (reviews, brewer's notes, photos) that glorifies binge drinking, encourages underage drinking, or markets brews as a path to intoxication.
6. Enforcement
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this Acceptable Use Policy, cancel pending orders, and report illegal activity to authorities.
